Welcome to the Berowra Wallabies!

The Berowra Wallabies play in the North Sydney Junior Rugby League competitions (u6-u12’s) and Norths-Manly Joint competitions (u13+).  Open to boys and girls of all ages we have teams from U6’s through to A’Grade.

The club was formed in 1967 making 2017 the 50th Anniversary of the Berowra Wallabies.

Our colours are maroon and white. Our home ground is Warrina Street Oval on the corner of Hillcrest Road and Warrina Street, Berowra.  Our logo is the Wallaby!

Why Play Junior League with the Berowra Wallabies?

  • Junior league is a fantastic opportunity for both boys and girls to develop new skills & build self confidence whilst making new friends in a fun, enjoyable and safe team environment.
  • The Wallabies are a family orientated club with a focus on equal & fair playing time for all players.
  • We follow National Safe Play Code
  • Supervised by Qualified Coaches, Sports Trainers and Referees

Modified games for all ages:

  • Mini Footy ages 4-8 (K-Y3)
  • MOD League ages 9-12 (Y3-Y6)
  • Rugby League 13+ (HS)

The Berowra Wallabies have a proud history of offering players an opportunity to play in senior grades.  In 2017 we will be fielding A’Grade and C’Grade teams in the Norths-Manly Joint competition bringing Sunday footy back to Warrina Street!

And if you still have aspirations of throwing on the boots and playing a few games throughout the year, but without the time commitment of playing and training every week, this year the Wallabies will be fielding a Masters team.  For more information on how to get involved click through to our Masters page.

Wallabies Mission Statement

To develop & promote the sport of Rugby League within Berowra & surrounding communities and encourage the participation of both junior & senior age groups. Above all, we encourage fairness, competition, player safety, and enjoyment of the game. One club – One team.

The Way We Coach

Most importantly, we coach our players to have fun and to improve themselves. We conduct coaching clinics under the supervision of our coaching co-ordinator, to coach the Coaches. This is aimed at enabling all coaches to give our players a better shot at learning the skills and drills they need to enjoy both their training and the game on the field. We think that if our players are happy, their parents are happy and it makes for an enjoyable season for every one involved.

The Way We Support

We aim to be positive in everything we do and say throughout the season. We realise that our players don’t make mistakes on purpose, so we relax and enjoy the season and let the play entertain us. We give the Referees and Opposition the respect they deserve. They, like us, are all a part of the game. We play hard, fair and within the rules and regardless of a win, a loss or a draw just remember…WE ALWAYS HAVE FUN!

Now that you have found us, please keep coming back and reading the events and news we hope to be providing you. Please feel free to approach one of our Executive or Committee at any time should you want information of any kind. We’ll see you around the Grounds or Meetings.
