At the end of season 2005 Pat Lowe our then A-grade coach put forward an idea to have a supporter group similar to what was happening in the NRL (South’s & The bulldogs).
The idea was a hit and we decided the name FOB being “Friends Of Berowra”. This little group who at present number 10 were given their own shirts and as we were seen at Warrina Street Oval, people started to ask who we were?
Well, quite simply, we are a group of people who are passionate and proud about our rugby league club and we wanted to put something back in.
You know the feeling when one of your children does well at their chosen sport or studies, that sense of pride that wells up in your chest. Why not get that feeling every week by becoming a FOB?
Watch your team achieve and become part of a group that is as dedicated to ensuring its members have fun whilst supporting our club. We want to organize outings to the races, have dinners etc and the more the merrier.
At Sunday night presentations we can select a FOB player of the day. It’s all about getting that special feeling by knowing you are doing something different and something that is making a difference.
Our club theme this year is “one club one team”. Become a FOB and join the team. From under 6s to A-grade you can support your club wearing the special shirt only FOB members can wear.
The cost is only $300 to join and $100 pa there after, which includes a shirt that is embroided each year to acknowledge that you are a paid up member.
